Well, that was easily one of the most electric basketball games of the Olympics so far. Give us drama, give us high pressure situations, give us random stars, shit like that. It’s a 50/50 play at best in my opinion and probably should have been a no call.

My eyebrows didn’t raise a millimeter when I saw they won big. Best team in the world. Least popular team to watch. Two times as many people went to watch Spain vs. China? More people went to see Serbia vs. Puerto Rico? And what’s crazy is that it didn’t even need to be an either or decision. NFL training camp is always a little worrisome to navigate. It’s why I never understood people who have their fantasy football drafts during the first week of August. Anything can happen in preseason to rip your dreams away. We almost had that happen to us when we came dangerously close to losing Scott Hanson for the season. He’s currently gearing up for the NFL RedZone season by hosting “Gold Zone” for the Olympics....

The 2024 MLB Trade Deadline came and out without many fireworks. Quick summary…San Diego traded a bunch of their top prospects for closer Tanner Scott. The Orioles ended up adding a few SP in Zach Eflin and Trevor Rogers. They also were able to acquire a salary dump player in Eloy Jimenez. Royals snagged a solid reliever Lucas Erceg. Sox got a few relievers in Lucas Sims and Luis Garcia....

The Olympics are where the best athletes on the planet go to compete. But no athlete ever makes it to the Olympics on their own. These people rarely get the recognition they deserve while everyone is at home watching the games. But our boy Bob “The Cap Catcher”? And when his moment arrived, the man was there to deliver in heroic fashion. Hopefully all the other athletes in the Olympic Village took notice of that performance....
