Jevon Holland has been an absolute menace since he stepped onto the field. Players like him are a rare breed in todays NFL. Hes every offenses worst nightmare. Its the reason the Dolphins started the season 1-0. Thats who Jevon Holland is. That is something Miami simply cannot afford to lose. Hes the enforcer, the game-changer, the guy who makes opponents think twice before coming his way. Just ask Jalen Ramsey, a player who knows a thing or two about elite defensive play....
Last year heading into the Monday Night Football season opener for the Jets, I was overjoyed. I was thinking AFC Championship or maybe the first Super Bowl of my life. I hadn’t been that excited for a Jets season opener since 1998. They had just made the AFC Championship the season before (even had a lead at halftime!). Everything looked primed for the Jets to have a huge season. Of course, it’s the Jets so that year was a mess....
To set the scene, this is obviously a big game. Jim Harbaugh’s first outing has head coach, at home vs their biggest rivals. The staff, along with half the roster, have been replaced by his acolytes and ex-Ravens. Well, the first half wasn’t great. JK Dobbins finished with 135 yards and a TD. The defense finished strong, only allowing 296 yards of offense and 10 points. At the end of the game, though, we get to the clip above....
We’ve seen the effects of repetitive brain injuries across multiple sports. We’ve seen how much it can deteriorate the quality of life of these former athletes. We see how dangerous it becomes when they’re no longer able to make sensible, rational decisions. It’s just that there has to be a better alternative out there than the guardian cap. All I’m saying is that you look at all the advancements we’ve made technologically over the years....

We’ve had worse teams. Oh, we’ve had substantially worse teams. But the thing everyone wanted to remind us then was it was with Baker Mayfield! He was the thing holding this team back. All we needed was a QB. And the Browns suck. Don’t take my word for it….listen to the great John Fanta rip this team to shreds. It’s a fucking disgrace. People really did not like him. Some people are saying he made Tony Romo look like a god in the booth. I mean I guess he was pretty nervous from the sounds of him freezing up at times. It was a pretty big shit show to be honest. His booth partners carried him and maybe this was just first game jitters? Gotta cause a little imposter syndrome.
