I write this blog under extreme caution.

It helps to start that Gareth Edwards is the director.

He was in charge of 2014’s Godzilla, The Creator, and Rogue One.

I’m a big fan of those, so maybe we’re onto something?

We also have the same writer from the first two JPs.

Then you get the lovely Scarlett Johansson and Mahershala Ali on board as stars.

So what’s the plot?

Where are we going with this?

Okay, I actually was kinda into that?

Admittedly when I saw this blurb before the trailer I got nervous.

What the fuck are we doing?

How is that a real plot point?

It’s just not exactly a dinosaur movie and more a monster film.

Whatever dude, just fucking scare me is all I ask.

And yes there’s still plenty to do with the normal dinosaurs we’ve grown to know and love.

The Rex looks awesome.

And we’ve got Raptors.

As well as a pack of Spinosaurus which we haven’t seen at all since JP3.

Something a Jurassic Park/World movie needs to be successful is fear.

The OG used it as a tool so well.

I need so much death in this shit.

A big problem with death, however, is children.

Dr. Grant was right with his distaste for them in the first film.

Every time they pop up I groan.

Because you know they can’t die in the movie.

They’re just a waste of space.

That gives me hope.

We’re actually getting the lagoon raft scene that’s been long desired for from the book.

All of the right things are being said here, but we gotta execute.

I can see a lot of people reading the plot and watching that trailer being furious.

I’m a simple guy.

You give me dinosaurs trying to kill people and I’m pretty much in.

I’m the sucker that helps these blockbusters all make a billion dollars.

Maybe they’re due to get it right?

Seems like Mahershala Ali’s character is the cocky one of the group.

If he doesn’t have a gruesome death then I know nothing about these movies.
