There was a time, just a few years ago, where Will Wade was untouchable.

I know, crazy idea that players were receiving money before the last couple of years.

But he was untouchable because the NCAA destroyed coaches who got caught doing such a thing.
That was until McNeese took a shot on him.
It was something that made sense for both parties.
Because of this:
Your school is now being talked about across the country.
You’re making a ton of money because of the unit won from advancing in the Tournament.
You now have the ability to say you won a real Tournament game.
Those all matter whether Will Wade is there or not.
But it’s not just that, it’s the fact he’s openly talking about it.
The fact he had this plan and talked to his staff, administration and players about it.
If they don’t follow him, they could get money to go somewhere else.
He used McNeese to get back in the sport, get the NC State job, like anyone would.
Players are doing the same.
