Facts don’t really matter sometimes.
It sort of feels like how the games feel against the Heat and Sixers.
The rivalry feels pretty damn one sided.

I mean think about it.
So when I say they don’t appear to be that close, that’s what I mean.
But it’s not my problem to figure out how to fix the Bucks.

I’m hesitant to call it perfect, but it sneaky was pretty perfect.
As a scorer, he was efficient with 60/40% splits and 4 3PM.
To me, his shot profile was perfect.

You’re Jayson Tatum.
Outside of that, this was the perfect approach against a team like MIL.
The Celtics understand how to essentially make both Lopez and Portis unplayable.

The Bucks defense has two problems against the Celts.
First, everyone is going to target the shit out of Dame whenever they can.
The wings, the point guard, doesn’t matter.

They are seal hunting the shit out of that guy at all times.
Second, this big problem.
Lopez and Bobby Portis in space is not going to cut it.

The issue is MIL needs all those guys on the court, so what’s their solve?
you could’t hide your entire team on defense.
When things got tight late, that’s the time for the best players to win the game.
On the MIL side, Giannis choked.
That’s what sets him apart from a lot of players.
He’s giving you elite production on BOTH ends of the floor.
He guards 1-5 on one end and then scores 1-5 on the other.
- Life, death, taxes, and Al Horford completely owning Giannis.
Those are really the only constants in life.
Sometimes guys just have another player’s number!
I’m going to need at least another 3 year commitment from Al Horford after this season.
It’s really their attention to dominating the margins.
This game was the perfect example.
- It’s incredible what a few days of rest can do for a guy like Jrue.
That’s an insane number.
They were 35-1 last year and are 9-0 this year.
He’s also really responded well to playing his old team.
If you remember, last year it felt like he was a double agent at times.
He’s killing them.
To me, that’s why the Basketball Gods rewarded them.
The thing is, Jaylen wants all the smoke.
So the mere fact that White grabbed the rebound matters to me.
For it to come against Giannis is even better.
Those are the small details that add up down the stretch of a close game.
That’s finding a way to help your team and make a winning impact without scoring.
I’ll bet my life that the Basketball Gods reward White today and he finishes like 6-13 from deep.
They aren’t pooping their pants in the clutch offensively and to me that’s progress.
- Oh, and before we move on, shoutout Spooney for bringing this to my attention.
Brad Stevens, you beautiful sonofabitch.
- Defensively, this was a step in the right direction.
As a result, the Bucks only had 16 AST as a team.
Once you make them play isolation against your defense, they’ve lost.
There’s just no consistency.
The foul baiting from Dame, it’s all just so exhausting.
Part of me thinks this is why the Bucks stink.
They don’t play ethical hoops.
That’s going to have to be figured out.
With Derrick, this was a case of just smoking open looks.
Looks we’ve seen him hit at a 40% clip for basically 2 years now.
No need to panic obviously, but man was that annoying.
Just wasn’t his night.
- I’m to believe Giannis went a full 36 minutes and didn’t commit one foul?
The Celts were just 4-24 (16.7%) on “wide open” 3PA.
That is an insane prayer that the Bucksstillcouldn’t capitalize on.
That’s tough for them.
