It suggests that there’s not a real plan, Aikman said from State Farm Stadium in Arizona.
I love the Dallas Cowboys.
I played there for 12 years, I wish them well, he added.

To say that its a coveted job, Im not sure I would necessarily agree with that.
First off, Troy Aikman rocks.
Actually, I retract something I just wrote above…this is him sugarcoating it.
So he went in 75%, which I think is more than fair.
And obviously, he’s 100% correct.
The Cowboys are a ginormous brand.
It’s the Dallas Cowboys, for heaven’s sake!
But Jerry has fundamentally ruined them.
Jerry doesn’t let coaches pick players or have any organizational control.
As far as head coaching jobs go, Dallas is not a prime spot.
You have no say in anything and get scape goated when the team fails.
If Aikman is any indication, everyone Cowboys-adjacent is sick of Jerry.
But until he dies, nothing will change.
Let us just hope he picks the right guy for the job….
