I can’t take it anymore.
Travis Hunter won the Biletnikoff Award as the nation’s best wide receiver on Thursday night.
It was also provably not the best season a receiver had this year.
San Jose State’s Nick Nash led the country in receptions, receiving yards and receiving touchdowns.
By literally any measure, he was the best receiver in the country all season.
But Nash had the misfortune of going up against the cult of Hunter.
Nash was simply an objectively better wide receiver than Hunter.
Somehow, though, it seems like that became part of the criteria for one year.
I want to love Travis Hunter.
He’s so good.
But people like the ones who voted for him to win the Biletnikoff make it very difficult.
