I think everyone agreed the first couple rounds of the Tournament sucked.
I don’t care about Cinderella as much as I just want good games and moments.
We barely had any.
In reality it was one of the most top heavy seasons we’ve had in the sport.
It’s too early to just say because of NIL/transfer portal, last year was not the case.
We kept pushing it down the road until it finally got here.
We had three collapses.
We had moments from every single game.
It was a historically close Final Four.
It’s what happens when you get the four best teams in the Final Four, which is rare.
It’s the one beauty of not having a Cinderella team there because that tends to be the blowout.
You hope to see some upsets.
But it’s the standalone games that people remember the most.
You’ll have people talking about the Final Four collapses more than McNeese and Colorado State winning games.
As for the NIL/transfer portal argument, let’s see what happens next year.
Just keep giving us elite Final Fours, it’s really the best thing for the sport.
