The Juan Soto sweepstakes officially starts this week as he begins meetings.

The 2nd most important thing would be his postseason success.
It’s obvious that he’s better in pressure situations, which is largely due to his focus.
And that’s obviously a big deal because you’re not paying for Juan Soto without having considerable October-expectations.
After that, I don’t really know what else matters in signing a free agent.
Or that you’re able to talk ball in the dugout and pick up the check at dinner?
You’ve never heard a louder echo chamber when it came to the Cubs and Jon Lester.
You’re also getting a pitching coach
At $150,000,000 you don’t need to be a pitching coach.

Instead, I think it’s more important to consider the least demanding environment where his personality can flourish.
I’m sure there’s room to debate this passionately but I’m going with my intuition.
Just seems like an already perfect fit and don’t forget that Manfred is a huge Mets fan.
