It all started last week when Kevin Willard was asked about his future at Maryland.
He gave a pretty honest answer, or so it seemed at the time.
Both pretty fair points, he made.
People applauded Willard for being so open and candid about the situation.
So he publicly trashed Maryland so he could take the Nova job while still in the tournament at Maryland.
That my friends, is what we call a snake.
They said ok you’re right, we’ll give you what you want.
And he still didn’t sign.
Because he wants to leave.
While in the Sweet 16.
Now, all this is rumors and people putting pieces together.
Two days ago I thought there was a chance it was all overblown and we were overreacting.
Last night I 180’d and realized we’d all been played.
But there is a lot of smoke and fire right now.
And let me say this- I don’t think he’s wrong about the state of Maryland athletics.
The football program is a disgrace.
Coach Locksley is a TERRIBLE football coach.
He can recruit and that’s about it.
“, have a hard look in the mirror.
We get wins over Southern Illinois Tech and then lose every conference game.
Locks is a bad coach, everyone knows it.
How anyone defends a coach 16-40 in B1G play is beyond me.
And all we’ve wanted is for the program to be nationally relevant and awesome again.
And finally it looked like we were on the way to that, and THIS happens.
So yeah, big game tonight vs Florida.
Unreal this is all happening on the day of the biggest game in a decade.
Your college gets a former president or the CEO of Apple, we get a talking frog.
Burn it all to the ground.
