One year ago to the day I wrote this blog.

I called for John Calipari to be fired, the program torn down and built all over again.

Chicken money came in, Cal was gone.

We heard it all.

Where’s the NBA talent, he doesn’t have a Tournament win, he was our 5th choice.

Wins over Duke, Gonzaga, Louisville, Tennessee, Florida and others came flying in.

Then there were the injuries to Kerr Kriisa, Jaxson Robinson and Lamont Butler.

Heading into this game we heard that Troy was sneaky good.

That Kentucky has a history of losing these games and you know what?

We did what we are supposed to do.

Slow start, no problem.

Collin Chandler comes off the bench and drills threes.

Trent Noah hit a game-changing three.

Amari Williams dunked on every single person named Troy.

We needed this win.

We had to get back to our roots, beating the shit out of 14 seeds.

I don’t care how it looked or what people thought.

It was a win the fanbase needed, Mark Pope needed, all of us around this program needed.
