Day 1 is in the books here in Paris.
Crammed a lot in at the last minute, and you could watch an entire video recap above.
I am the BITO, we already know that.

But which country is the BITW (Best In The World)?
Well, it’s a small sample size based off what I witnessed, but I say: China.
The Chinese fans traveled incredibly well.
Felt like a home game for them, and the players certainly leaned into that advantage.
The most notable storyline of the night was Noah Lyles.
But Track & Field Twitter took over in the replies and the quote tweets in this one.
They are not fans of Noah Lyles.
It was then discovered that Noah Lyles ran this race with COVID.
Our John Rich did a great job documenting this story last night…
In terms of other events on the track, USA’s Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone DOMINATED the 400M hurdle final.
An easy path to gold for the fellow American.
The event that I was intrigued by the most was the javelin.
These guys can throw it far.
What a day, and it’s a quick turnaround this afternoon.
