If I’ve said it once, I’ve said it at least 13 or 14 times before.
Because nobody ever asks for this.
Nobody ever wants these songs to exist.
At the very best, they are harmless.
It gives the opposing fanbase unlimited ammunition to fight back with.
This isn’t a unique issue with the Ottawa Senators right now.
We’ve seen this happen time and time again.
It was from the heart.
There was nothing “try hard” about this one.
I’m pretty sure that’s exactly how the Beatles got famous.
It sucks for the teams because they’re caught in an impossible situation.
You don’t want to shit on your fans for being passionate and supportive.
But at the same time…literally nobody asked for a god awful parody of Song 2 by Blur.
It’s not even like they are covering a band from Ottawa or anything.
Just dog shit all around.
It’s not right.
