Shit Show: NCAA Calls South Alabama To Invite Them To The NIT, Calls Back An Hour Later And Says There's No Spot For Them Because Of A Mix Up

They could win the title and it doesn’t justify the bid.

But South Alabama happened to be on the other end of the whoopsie call.

I know we like to make fun of the NIT.

It’s easy, it’s all fair game.

But for these mid-majors the NIT still matters.

So yeah they’d get pumped for an NIT bid.

Instead you have UC Riverside being told they are in the CBI and the NIT.

Basically the hot chick getting invited to any and every dance while South Alabama is waiting for the scraps.

I do wonder how the NCAA handled this.

Also wonder how that conversation goes.
