Taking a page out of a certain old podcast’s book here huh?
You don’t sit back and get shock because you’re racing in a disgusting river.
I know what you’re thinking.
Surely, there’s backup plan.
That would make sense since it’s the Olympics and you have years to plan it.
Well, allow me to introduce the backup plan.
It’s simply get rid of the swimming and make the triathlon, well, not a thing.
The men’s and women’s marathon swimming is still scheduled for Aug. 7 and 8.
The old pull and pray method here.
What can go wrong?
We need more people like Seth Rider in the Olympics though.
This is the highest level for him to compete at and he’s taking no chances.
That’s what an Olympic gold medal means to him.
I wouldn’t be surprised if he runs a triathlon even if it gets canceled to prove a point.
Dedication at its finest if you ask me.
I still don’t understand what the whole plan was here.
