The aftermath of yesterday’s Jannik Sinner news has been ugly.
In case you missed it, I recapped the drama here.
That’s the same PED that Fernando Tatis Jr. got caught with and promptly suspended 82 games for.

Sinner was suspended twice, but quickly appealed and won without anyone knowing what was going on.
Naturally tennis players all around have called out the handling of this.
Simona Halep, a former grand slam champion and world no.

1, was suspended for steroids and didn’t get a chance to have her appeal overturned for years.
American Jenson Brooksby was suspended for 18 months after he missed 3 doping tests.
He didn’t even test positive.
Eventually that suspension was reduced to 13 months, but not after appeals and fighting it a bit.
Since when does any athlete get the benefit of the doubt with accidental steroid use?
As you’re free to imagine, players are not happy.
Most have kept private for now, but other like Canada’s Denis Shapovalov have spoken out about it.
Nick Kyrgios seems to be making a ton of sense.
There’s also Liam Broady.
Not exactly a prominent player, but voicing a lot of what players are definitely thinking.
Lucas Pouille speaking on behalf of Brooksby, who I mentioned earlier.
It’s a crazy situation, which will only get bigger as the US Open arrives next week.
Tennis' golden boy now will have this dark cloud above him for maybe the rest of his career.
This is all a giant mess that doesn’t feel close to over.
