I’ve been loosely following the trials and tribulations of Johnny Somali for a while now.

I wrote a blog about this deplorable human back in November.

I kind of hate to write it.

I’m not sure the last time Johnny has been in America.

He was born in Arizona.

Went to Arizona state.

For some reason he pretends to be Somalian (although Somalia vehemently rejects him).

But he’s spent most of his terrible career traveling and streaming in foreign countries.

His content is essentially this.

He goes out in public and makes everyone’s day worse.

That’s about it.

And sometimes he does North Korea/Hitler stuff from the comfort of a computer chair.

I don’t know exactly how many countries have had the displeasure of being visited by Johnny Somali.

But in every country he visited, he’s end up getting out of there scot free.

Until he visited South Korea.

He’s facing two charges for violating the Minor Crimes Act, as well two Obstruction of Business.

Obstruction of Business alone comes with a potential 5 year sentence.

In total, he could end up spending 10 years in a South Korean prison.

This morning was the start of his trial.

And I should mention…

Which is what he was doing the hours leading up to his trial.

Causing him to show up shitfaced drunk an hour late to his court hearing.

Reports say he came into the trial in “good spirits”.

When he walked into court, Johnny Somali reportedly stuck his tongue out at a reporter.

He was all smiles at first.

But neither him or his lawyer knew about the second Obstruction of Business charge.

Apparently he stopped smiling when he learned about that one.

So far he’s plead guilty to both minor crimes charges, and one Obstruction of Business charge.

The next Obstruction of Business will be addressed at a trial in April.

Part of me feels bad for him (not actually but for the sake of this paragraph).

Just steer into the skid.

Don’t let us down South Korea.

With stories like this, I feel like the end result is almost always disappointing.

Everybody is throwing around 10 years in prison.

Rarely do streamers like this get what they deserve.

At most they’ll get a slap on the wrist, which only makes people hate them more.

And as the hate increases, so does the money.

I hope we do.

Hopefully South Korea sees this through and throws the book at him.

I don’t see why they wouldn’t.

I believe in you South Korea.

Give the people what they want.
