There are three factors to this movie that made me really excited going into it.
There aren’t many people better at directing winding crime stories than him.
A David Koepp screenplay.

I’m happy to report that all three factors combined to make a pretty great movie.
As always, I’ll break it down into a pro and con list for you.
PROS:
The cast is stellar.
Like you’re free to expect from Soderbergh, this sucker is TIGHT.
Really well directed with very few lulls.
The Koepp script is also awesome.
Sexy but also very funny without having to try too hard.
- The story is fun as hell.
It’s basically a whodunnit in the spy world of MI6 that keeps you guessing until the very end.
- Everything on the technical end is fantastic.
Cool sets, great camera work, music, costumes etc.
CONS:
- There are some points early in the movie where I wish I had some subtitles.
Regional English accents can be a little hard to decipher sometimes.
When you add spy-industry jargon to the equation, it only gets harder.
Overall, I really liked it.
The only warning I’d give to anyone interested is that this isnot anaction-thriller.
It’s all about solving the mystery.
