Here we go again.
Another weekend, another robbery courtesy of the officials.
Its beyond ridiculous how bad the officiating has gotten in the Premier League.
Week after week, we see the same incompetence, and frankly, its a joke.
And lets be realits not entirely the refs fault either.
Let that sink in.
Whats worse, even when a referee completely botches a match, there are no real consequences.
Its a disgrace, and the situation has reached new lows.
Look no further than Arsenals recent match against Liverpoolan officiating masterclass in how not to run a game.
The inconsistency is mind-numbing.
What kind of nonsense is that?
If youre going to blow the whistle, at least do it before the play gets that far.
And wheres the consistency?
Virgil van Dijk legitimately assaults Kai Havertz, and the ref doesnt even think about pulling out a card.
No foul, no yellow, nothing.
Now, Im not sitting here saying Arsenal lost the match solely because of the officials.
Liverpool played well, and Arsenal had their own chances.
But to pretend the refereeing didnt play a role would be absurd.
All we, as fans, are asking for is consistency.
And right now, the Premier League isnt delivering it.
Its honestly disrespectful to fans across the globe.
Its time for the league to step up.
And most importantly, real accountability when these referees get it wrong.
The players deserve it.
