Sometimes we think of toughness as that.
Toughness, to me, is an ability to be completely undistractable.
This is what I needed to hear today.
You win that game if you’re tough.
Mark Pope said we weren’t tough enough and I’m not doubting this man.
If they need to fight everyone on Vanderbilt tomorrow night, so be it.
I don’t need them watching tape.
They know how to shoot.
They know how to pass.
Maybe some shell drills on defense.
But goddamnit I love Mark Pope telling the boys toughness is throwing hands.
Once again, I’m reminded we made the right hire.
A guy who gets it.
