We saw what happened on Thursday night.
To put it nicely, he quit.
He quit on the team, the franchise, every other player, however you want to say it.
So now everyone waited to see ‘De’Vondre Campbell has been cut by the 49ers.’
You had other guys talk about how shitty of a move it was, they were pissed.
But that would be too easy.
The dude refused to do his job.
He refused to go in and play because his feelings were hurt.
Why release him just so he can play for another team and keep getting paid?
That’s not a punishment.
You ban them and give that money to some behind the scenes people as bonuses.
I would pay a lot of money to see Lynch freaking out on him.
It’s not wrong that Lynch is usually composed and rarely shows any emotion in his front office role.
But he’s still a former player.
You know he understands the locker room and dealing with the 49ers failing this year.
Last thing he wants to deal with is a dude throwing a hissy fit because of a better player.
I respect the move.
You don’t just cut a player who will get paid and a deal with someone else.
He wants to quit on you, let him quit.
Don’t reward someone for that.
