Sweet Jesus was that stressful. But make no mistake, this was another near disaster for Team USA. That’s also with Steph missing a WIDE OPEN 3PA to effectively end the game. Thankfully, Team USA has a cheat code for these must-have bucket situations. I’m not saying that, but I can understand why people would. You add turnovers into the mix and that’s exactly how you get a game like this....

Oh sure, now Rory does some media and people want to make fun of him. He should make peeling out of the parking lot his thing. Clearly it’s somewhat of a joke here. He was toast after that triple on the 4th hole yesterday. But the Internet doesn’t care, they are calling him a quitter for admitting such. Twisters is this year’s big summer blockbuster, which for some reason came out after July 4th? Overall this movie has a ceiling. There is no way it’ll sweep awards season, but it was very much a fun movie. I’d watch it again on an airplane in 10 years.

You know, I used to think that maybe they just don’t make athletes like they used to. That maybe this younger generation of athlete is too soft and self-centered. Constantly thinking about posting on social media, and constantly crying about the “haters”. But I’m starting to think this is more of a nature vs nurture debate. Because clearly athletes out there still want to be bad ass. You’d have chicks ripping heaters in the middle of competition, and not miss a beat....

For example, multiple sources tell PFT that there was an attempt to get Williams paid as an LLC. The Collective Bargaining Agreement doesnt seem on the surface to foreclose that approach. However, the league decided that it does. The Bears, through the NFL, also nixed that possibility. It would appear that Caleb Williams is the smartest rookie ever drafted. Oh a millionaire doesn’t want to pay taxes? I don’t know the NFL would have a problem with this....

Full disclosure, I was about to publish a whole what you were missing while you were sleeping blog. Then the 11th happened. Specifically the 11th to Shane Lowry. I see a lot of people making fun of Max Homa for celebrating this putt. A lot of ‘Chris Paul cuts the lead to 42’ and things along that nature. That won’t happen here. Making the cut, giving yourself a chance on the weekend should be worth celebrating. Plus, we’re talking about real money at stake here. That putt alone was about worth $35,000. Now you could turn that $35,000 into six figures with a good weekend....

This is one of those times I still wish Tyrrell Hatton was on the PGA Tour. You need a lunatic and Hatton is just that. Now I know what everyone is thinking. Big deal about carrying your own bag. But no one else is carrying their own shit as a form of punishment at The Open. Not unless Dan Campbell or a true football guy somehow qualifies.
