We see hopeful phenoms fall off a cliff at the pro level all the time. Mark Appel, Jesus Montero, and Bubba Starling come to mind with baseball. Expanding to other sports, guys like JaMarcus Russell and Michael Beasley come to mind. Well, you’re free to add Shohei Ohtani to that list. Way to be a subtle about it man. Man character syndrome much? Way to share the spotlight, sheesh. Shohei had to come over to a new country with everyone expecting a God-like repertoire to be shown off....

Or maybe not, I guess. And you know what, maybe there are some good football experience they can get out of this. Refusing to be let down. Using upper body strength to get through the hole. Escaping to the second level. All phenomenal for the game we love.
