NPR- Garth Hudson, the last surviving founding member of the beloved roots-rock ensemble The Band, has died. The Canadian musician was 87 years old. His close friend Jan Haust, a music archivist and producer, confirmed the news to NPR. “He was a divine musical gentleman,” Haust says. “He died peacefully in his sleep, holding the hand of someone he loved.” But he’s right. I do write these a lot. But I don’t think it’s morbid....

Don’t look now but Ben Shelton is into his second career grand slam semifinal. Doing this at 22 years old, less than three full seasons into his career is crazy impressive. We’re not used to this kind of success on the men’s side. Ben is a different breed though. He embraces the big moments and thrives in them. you’re able to already see Shelton is improving, which is scary. Point construction and returning levels are already seeing noticeable differences in a positive way....

Goalies are the only players in hockey who have a safe space on the ice. The crease belongs to them. And that’s an important thing. Goalies are entitled to, and deserve to have that space to themselves. But if goalies want to start acting like this? Well then all bets are off. There, Williams will reunite recently-hired Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel. Wingo took to Twitter earlier on Tuesday to express his fear of losing Williams. Williams was a well-respected coach by the Detroit Lions organization. I think he is the best d-line coach in the league, Campbell said last year. If hes not, hes certainly right up there. Today the boys wanted me to send some texts asking for a molar roll call. What is that you ask? Well it’s just a selfie of yourself showing off your back teeth. We decided to send out some feelers to see who would respond to the roll call.

How could they possibly put on an outdoor game in Florida without the ice turning into a pool bar? They’d be better of playing a game of Pro Beach Hockey than a Winter Classic. Well then maybe the NHL was onto something here. This could be it. I’d call that money well spent. Maybe putting a hockey team in New Orleans wouldn’t be such a bad idea moving forward.

I’ve never got the chance to see them live, and it’s irked me. Well, that changes this summer now with this news. Can’t wait for August to see this live finally.
