This is a really sad story that I’ve been following in hopes it turns for the better. Unfortunately the opposite keeps happening. While there she suffered cardiac arrest and went into a coma. She’s now been left permanently disabled, in a semi-conscious state where she can’t move or speak. It’s a fate you wouldn’t wish on your worst enemy. Now her family is going on the offensive and suing the facility for everything....

The team also would be named the Tennessee Summitt in honor of the late Pat Summitt. Just an absolute legend in the game. Legend in every way, shape and form. Influential in so many ways to women across sports, coaches across sports, and the state of Tennessee. Parker knows first hand how great Pat was to her, so that goes without saying. This is why sports is awesome. Coaches can impact your life in ways beyond the field and the court, and players never forget that....

Mostly because that last dunk was fucking awesome. But everyone always remembers the best dunk of the contest, which was clearly this. Which takes me to the real point of this blog. The Flyers have been stuck in hockey purgatory for quite some time now. The issue, obviously, is that they’ve never committed to a rebuild. For years, the Flyers have tried to get away with a “retooling” or “restructuring”. That lends itself to perpetual mediocrity. The Flyers hadn’t won a playoff series since 2012. Those picks ended up being Morgan Frost in 2017, and Joel Farabee in 2018. These guys were supposed to be huge pieces to the future of the Flyers....

When it comes to All Star Starters, there’s really not ever any surprises. Instead, the fun comes once we learn about the reserves. This is where the snubs truly come into play and this year is certainly no different. That’s not how it works. So, that’s exactly what I’m going to do. As surprising as it may be, all of those guys that made it had a legit case. Garland is part of the starting backcourt on one of the best teams in the league....

Forget about it….I’d think I died and went to heaven. Even the Disney Boys didn’t have the balls to askTHATmuch of Portnoy’s wallet. I’d certainly take a gander. Hockey refs have been getting incessantly shit on for years. Whether it’s from players, or coaches, or parents, or fans. Being a hockey ref is one of the most thankless jobs in the world. You’re a critical part of the game, and it would be complete anarchy without you there. Eventually enough is going to be enough. Everybody has their breaking point, and I’m pretty sure we just witnessed this ref reach his....

That makes sense right? Those things are all true. I say that because I certainly was, and I watch every dribble. But it’s a great example of why I keep stressing that perspective is important. Are things exactly the same as 2024? That’s life baby. I dunno, call me crazy, but that seems pretty good! Some very frustrating losses for sure, an unacceptable home record no doubt, but big picture?...
