Any deep sea construction, or repairs past a certain depth require a method of diving called saturation diving. These men are down there in the pitch black with nothing but a head lamp. The water whirls around them every time a who-the-hell-knows-what swims past....

I’m gonna go ahead and assume that when Netflix sent a $320 million dollar check over for The Russo Brothers to make ‘The Electric State’ with Chris Pratt and Millie Bobby Brown, that they were hoping for a sliiightly higher debut on Rotten Tomatoes than 10%. Granted, in the hours since the review embargo has lifted, it’s risen up to 22% - but still…. At no point did I think ‘The Electric State’ was gonna be good, though, and that’s a bit of a bummer to me, just because I like all parties involved....
That the Trade Deadline will be complete chaos and carnage with players moving all across the league. It’s a move that definitely helps the Islanders out in the future. Calum Ritchie is a high-end prospect and probably one of the best 15-20 players not currently in the NHL. They get a 1st round pick. It’s a good starting point for whatever that rebuild is going to look like on Long Island....
First and foremost, just a quick thank you to Scott Laughton. He was drafted to the Philadelphia Flyers during a really weird time in the team’s history. They had just moved on from Mike Richards and Jeff Carter. The team’s identity was gone, but they were still expected to contend every year. Laughton was originally thought of as potentially being the next Mike Richards for this team. He was a 40-goal scorer in the NHL....
Yankees fans should be very grateful that the Dallas Mavericks exist. At least there’s another sports organization somewhere having a worse few weeks than them. That has happened and while Gils diagnosis did not get any worse, it did not get any better. The Yankees at one point had SEVEN starting pitchers. The good news for the Yankees is that they still have a decent staff. What if any of those five do get hurt?...
The work ethic starts and ends with him. He sets the standard. He’s been here since 2009 and the culture of the team could go with him if he leaves. I think all of these things matter. An underwhelming return would put a blemish on the organization on how they treat their players. This does not need to be a rebuild, it needs to be a re-tool. Oh yeah, he also wants tostay....
This isn’t about Jimmy Fallon as much as this is about Rick Pitino. Think about where we were with him 5 years ago or so. They are legit good and it’s because of Rick Pitino. We live at a time when the advancements in technology are truly getting insane. Sure we don’t have flying cars yet or hoverboards like we were promised decades ago, but whatever. When it comes to the world of sports/professional sports, things are no different. In my opinion, the coolest advancement in basketball tech isn’t any of those things above. Not to be dramatic, but that’s cool as hell. Or, if you just want to feel at home, you load your own practice court on there....
