So Jim Knowles is leaving Ohio State to become the Defensive Coordinator at Penn State.
Let me be very clear: fuck this guy.
He’s a great coach, don’t get me wrong.
Probably the best defensive coordinator in the entire country.
In the same conference?
As a lateral move?
No wait, it’s not a lateral move.
It’s a downgrade.
And he turned it down to take an offer at Penn State.
But nope, he’s heading to College Station.
There had to have been beef on this coaching staff and I need to know what it was.
Because this move makes zero fucking sense.
Don’t tell me it’s because he’s from Philly because that’s bullshit and you know it.
He has ZERO ties to Penn State.
Never played there, never coached there.
He is choosing to go there because he thinks he’s got it better there.
As for who our replacement is going to be, my short list is simple.
