It isnt the first time a Powerball players winnings were delayed or flat-out denied.
Cheeks was denied the life-changing jackpot, with the company claiming there was a mistake.
He filed a lawsuit against Powerball and the DC Lottery and sought $961.8 million in compensatory relief.
Jerrys August jackpot was not the last time Powerballs largest prize was hit.
I’m afraid to look into what happened to those people but the point stands.
The lottery is an institution that cannot afford to lose the public’s trust.
