ICYMI Iblogged this trailera while back with a more comprehensive breakdown of Amy Schumer last month.
This movie obviously faced an uphill battle right from the start.
Well, even with lowered expectations, I was disappointed.
As always, I’ll break it down into a simple pro and con list.
Pros:
- There are a couple laughs without a doubt.
But for that to be all a comedy movie is not great.
Cons:
- Schumer just isn’t funny.
I don’t think the script offers a ton more to deal with, but still.
You don’t cast a guy like him to play a normal, 2D guy.
- Similarly, I think it wasted Jillian Bell as well.
I’m not sure what has happened since Workaholics, but damn.
- This Rebel Wilson 2.0 actress….was bad.
Overall a bad movie that mercifully was a streaming release and didn’t make it to theaters.
