We’ve covered the South on Monday.

The Midwest on Tuesday.

The East on Wednesday.

Today we conclude with the final region.

This means, pretty much everyone is going to pick Florida.

They just look like they’re in another class vs everyone they play.

Akron is next in this recent scoring stat, scoring 456, but hardly against the same caliber opponent.

Alabama is next at 444.

Pretty incredible feat for a team that lost Clingan to the draft this year.

Even so, doesn’t look like this team is going to be a real contender to three-peat.

Except, that’s probably exactly the narrative Danny Hurley wants.

#5 Memphis shot 13/18 from three-point range in a game

72%.

Pretty solid when you consider Wofford’s free throw shooting was in the 60s.

Just an inexplicable seed mix up it appears.

Maybe the papers got mixed up when Bubba Cunningham left the room.

Maryland is ranked 9th.

69 points allowed per game for Grand Canyon vs 67 for Maryland.

Maybe look into the under here which is somewhere in the 150 range.

But if you’re looking to score in this game, be prepared for the crabs in the Canyon.

Maybe cool it on the James Harden tape, Missouri kids.

This is not the combo you want going into the tournament.

The thing about being a free throw merchant is that you actually want to get something in the trade.

Preferably making the free throws.

That’s 39.36 and 38.48 minutes on average respectively for these two future New York Knicks.

So when you hear Drake is a slow team with the fewest possessions, you now know why.

This will be something to watch.

Drake needs to play Lamar (an actual school) at least once every year.

#3 Texas Tech is 6-1 all-time in the West Region

Nothing like being close to home.

Make your family name proud, kid.

But I can’t see them getting by Florida.

Another find I have on them is they are bad clutch free throw shooters.

Just 18/39 (46%) in the last two minutes of a 5-point game or less.

#15 Omaha beat two DII schools this year

Mount Marty and Mid American Christian.

So, not even a good American Christian.

The only real school they played was Iowa State and they got whomped 83-51.

But hey - good luck to them on their first tournament game.

They will need it.

Hope you enjoyed this March Statness.

Now let’s get to the games.
