Feel like this debate comes up every few years because of how the NFL operates.

They’ll go on the road at least twice and need upsets to host the NFC title game.

So it begs the question - do you do what St. Brown wants?

Division winners get in the playoffs, but you just seed based on wins.

I don’t care.

It’s not like teams play balanced schedules where it’s possible for you to say that.

You win the division, you get the home game.

That ain’t happening a lot.

It’s similar to the debate we’re seeing in college football right now.

That one makes more sense to me because that seeding process makes no sense.

Dan Campbell says it right though.

The Lions have been playing playoff games:

Playing for a bye and homefield advantage matters.

It’s not like they could afford to lose and just accept being the 5 seed.

We have a week 18 game that matters.

That’s what you want when you have these division games late.
