The Packers' seasonpromptly hung in the balance as we waited to hear the verdict.

I was really sad.

Twitter docs from all over pained a fairly bleak picture of what was to come with the ensuing MRI.

Every angle of the play looked grim.

Then this morning Tom Pelissero reported that initial readings of the knee showed that the ACL was intact.

Promising, but still nowhere close to out of the woods.

A few hours later the all clear came in that the worst was dodged.

By all accounts this is the best case scenario.

ACL is good to go.

Optimism he could return sooner rather than later.

Now we can all breathe and have a go at figure out what to do until Love returns.

The problem is that Malik Willis, the current Packers backup, is not capable of winning football games.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen him complete a forward pass.

Gotta bring a serious QB who can run an offense.

Willis ain’t it.

Stay afloat with a real vet and then welcome back Love in a month with open arms.

I thought he looked pretty good last night despite the field being a disaster.

A lot to like about the future of this unit.

The defense on the other hand?

Besides containing the Hurts' run game I didn’t love a whole lot.

Tackling seems to be an issue and that’s not ideal.

Just survive the next month and then the season can go back on track with Love under center.
