This season was always going to be difficult for everybody.
But especially so for the Gaudreau family, the Columbus Blue Jackets, and the Calgary Flames.
Last night was the first chance that all 3 groups got to be together to honor the Gaudreau boys.
So to start off the night, both teams came out in Gaudreau jerseys for warmups.
Impossible not to get a little choked up after seeing the emotion on Monahan’s face there.
Unfortunately he wasn’t able to get himself on the board last night with Columbus getting shutout 3-0.
It was a good night for the Flames, but the biggest star of the night was Johnny.
First of all, it’s been so great to see Guy around the boys so much this season.
Obviously most of these tributes and ceremonies have revolved around what a great human Johnny and Matthew were.
