The Olympics come around once every 4 years.
For a lot of these athletes, it’s a once in a lifetime bang out of opportunity.
It’s hard enough to be one of the best in the world at your sport in general.
But when you oughta time it up perfectly with the ridiculously tight window of once every 4 years?
You never know when your next chance is going to be.
It’s not the exact same for sports photographers.
This is probably once in a lifetime for him.
And holy shit did the man snap off maybe the sickest photo to ever exist.
I don’t know why anyone else would even bother to buy a camera at this point.
No photo you take will ever be able to compete with that.
This shit is breathtaking.
The line of the leash matching the line of the wave.
The board being straight up matching Gabriel Medina.
Everything about it makes me think the Olympics need to start handing out medals to the photographers.
