This is the sort of hate I love to see.
There’s something that just warms you on the inside when you see the team you hate lose.
It’s a step below, but close, to seeing your team win.
That’s the sort of hate we need to keep on having in sports.
No more ‘ah well, what else could we do?’
No, I want to see celebrations in the streets when your rival loses.
It’s okay to cheer against teams.
In fact it should be encouraged more.
This is just awesome to see.
That’s the sort of fandom that America needs.
It’s time to embrace the hate in sports and cheer against rivals.
Yeah, yeah, England can say Scotland will never make it that far.
But it still didn’t come home.
That’s what Scotland will celebrate the moment they couldn’t get out of the group.
It becomes a full on hate toward England.
It’s time we get back to our roots as Americans.
