Listen, before you all jump down my throat, let me just say a couple things.
And it’s not because of Big Ten Pride or anything.
And it’s not because I want to see fresh faces in the playoff.
So yeah, I want them all in.
Because the fact of the matter is that this is actually a very intelligent idea.
And honestly, I think they would jump in the rankings if they do… And now the committee is in a tough spot.
Or do they put in a 10-2 Georgia/Alabama/Ole Miss/Tennessee team that would be favored against them?
It’s essentially a coin flips chance and it’s in the hands of the committee.
Option 2: Forfeit the game.
Do you know what happens if a college football team forfeits a game?
NCAA rules say it goes down as a 1-0 loss.
Their solo losses are to the same team and Indianas is by less points and on the road.
They might just find themselves in the semifinals of the college football playoff.
Or they can play the game and risk playing in the Idaho Potato Tax Slayer Bowl.
The choice is theirs.
