I’ve said it before but it’s worth to keep saying as St. John’s goes this year.
Rick Pitino is one of the 5 greatest coaches this game has ever seen.
They just beat the shit out of you, hang around and then kill you late.
It doesn’t even matter though.
That’s exactly what they did to UConn last night.
Hung around, then took advantage of mistakes late and won.
It shouldn’t be that simple but it really is for St. John’s.
They have their star in Kadary Richmond.
They have their pieces with RJ Luis and Zuby Ejiofor.
They have the guys who know their roles in Wilcher and Davion Smith and Aaron Scott.
Everyone has just bought in and it’s all because of this guy.
He is kinda right though.
St. John’s is 21-3 on the year, 1 loss in Big East play.
They lost to Creighton by 1.
They lost to Baylor by 1 in double OT and Georgia by 3.
If you have Rick Pitino as head coach, I’d be asking how you lose a game too.
The man still has it and is going to be a great future GM of Kentucky basketball.
Come on back home, Rick.
