I don’t think this was necessarily surprising.
Auburn was favored by 4.5, but it’s not like this was something insane.
It was the perfect situational spot for A&M.
They lost 4 in a row, they were a 2 seed on the bracket during the top-16 reveal.
Auburn could lose every single game by 50 and still be a 1 seed.
Hell, they might be the No.
1 overall seed still.
What I hate though?
The SEC ruining court storms.
You gotta rebuild a team through NIL and recruiting.
Here’s what else sucks.
Court storms are awesome when they mean something.
Storming the court is part of college sports and everyone did everything right.
Buzz told Bruce Pearl the plan, Pearl got the Auburn players out of there with plenty of time.
Let the kids have fun.
This is where me being an old wants to say I miss when upsets like this mean something.
It would lead the morning SportsCenter when that mattered.
Again, credit to A&M, they kicked Auburn’s ass.
They jumped them from the tip and then basically controlled the game for 40 minutes.
But let the kids party.
This was a warranted court storm.
