In August, I had the chance to walk with Mets legend Bobby Valentine.
Perhaps the second-best manager in team history, Bobby V, guided the Mets from 1996 to 2002.
This included two unforgettable playoff runs, reaching the NLCS in 1999 and the World Series in 2000.
Valentine also managed the Texas Rangers and Boston Red Sox.
Today, Bobby Valentine is an announcer for the Los Angeles Angels.
As we walked the concourse around Anaheim Stadium, we discussed his career and the state of the game.
