To this day, Tony Hawk is still the most recognized name in skateboarding.
I’d imagine for the general public, he probably always will be.
I can’t remember a single negative headline about the guy.
Never have I heard one of his skateboarding peers say a bad word about him.
I was a little young to be there for the rise of Kurt Cobain and Nirvana.
But still, Nirvana defines an entire genre of music for me.
When you think of grunge, you immediately think of Nirvana.
It’s almost too much pressure.
I mean seriously… Tony Hawk basically invented skateboarding.
Kurt Cobain basically invented grunge music.
What incredible genes to have.
But nevertheless… that’s a damn cool kid.
A damn cool family.
