Then I wondered to myself, “How many MLB MVP’s didn’t make the Hall of Fame?
So I looked it up.
Turns out like half of them haven’t made it.
If you win the MLB MVP, it borderline diminishes your chances of being elected into Cooperstown.
The steroid era makes it look even crazier.
But even from 1960-1989, only 54% of MVP’s have made the Hall of Fame.
I thought that seemed low.
Also, not letting steroid guys into the Hall of Fame is stupid.
For some reason, people want to draw a hard line between steroid users and non-steroid users.
If you use steroids at all, that means you’re out.
Idk why they can’t just use common sense.
Guys like Mark McGwire and Sammy Sosa, don’t let them in.
But guys like Barry Bonds and Alex Rodriguez.. it’s crazy for them to not have a plaque.
Not having Bonds and A-Rod as part of that room is ridiculous.
I’m a believer that Hall of Fames should tell “the story of the sport”.
Well… let me back track a second.
It is undeniably a bit crazy.
It’s especially crazy considering the numbers that Coloradodoesn’thave retired.
Kordell Stewart isn’t retired.
Nobody from the Colorado’s 1990 National Championship team is retired.
So there’s at least some precedent form Colorado doing immediate number retirements.
I know Colorado with Shedeur Sanders wasn’t a top 10 team or anything.
But that’s obviously not Shedeur’s fault.
If it were up to me, I wouldn’t have retired Shedeur’s number.
But it’s not as crazy as people are making it out to be.
I’m sure there’s been crazier number retirements.
They were a huge fucking deal whether you liked it or not.
I still wouldn’t have done it.
But I don’t think it’s nearly as ridiculous as people want to make it out to be.

But what the hell are t-ball coaches doing nowadays?
But they’re not even attempting to coach their players on how to play defense.
I get that they’re young.
Maybe they’re younger than I even realize.
No coach is even trying to make those kids stand in a position.
At bare minimum, teach your first baseman to cover first.
Honestly, the cartwheeler seems like the only one who knows what sport she’s playing.
I’m not trying to shit on the kids, but these coaches are completely phoning it in.
