It’s been a few down years now for the Yeshiva University Maccabees.
They then proceeded to lose their last 26 games of the season.
After going 2-27 in 2022, they followed that up with a 0-29 campaign in 2023.
After that was a 0-26 year in 2024.
The 2025 season looked to be trending on a similar path after starting off the season 0-18.
A program who was also in the midst of their own 42 game losing streak.
Something had to give.
First up, it was Lehman breaking their 42-game skid.
If they didn’t win the 2nd game of that double-header, they may never win again.

Gotta be honest here.
That was a pretty mundane celebration for picking up your first win in over 3 years.
I figured they’d all come racing out of the dugout and start doing the hora out there.
For the rest of the guys on this team, it was their first win ever.
I mean…it definitely tracks.
Either way, congrats to the fellas.
Hope they had plenty of challah and matzoh waiting for them at the postgame tailgate.
