All except one thing a gold medal at the Olympics.
It’s something he wanted BADLY.
At the beginning of the year Djokovic made it clear that his number one priority was the gold.

Things got a little tricky at the French Open though after he fucked up his knee and needed surgery.
Crazy enough, he hadn’t won a title all year entering this tournament.
He entered the match as a hefty underdog by his standards (+180).

The level from both was so fucking good.
Every service game was a war to hold.
The shot making and grind to just win a point was off the charts.
The margin for error on both sides was microscopic.
It came down to tiebreaks, which is never something you wanna be facing Djokovic in.
His ability to lock down and go to another level in tiebreaks is superhuman shit.
He needed to do it twice to beat Carlos, and in the end he was just too good.
A comp for what just happened?
Brady on the Bucs beating Mahomes in the Super Bowl.
Only difference is that Carlos actually showed up and gave Djokovic hell.
The greatest player of all time prevailed in the end and showed he’s still got it.
That was cool as shit to watch.
All I can do is tell you how good it was, but I can’t show you.
NBC or any of the other channels that show games not televising this is legitimately jail worthy.
The semi-finals of fencing?
Come the fuck on.
Lastly, people debate how important Olympic Tennis when you compare it to slams and 1000s and all that.
Well, just look at what it means to the players.
These guys putting it all on the line for their countries was awesome to witness.
Carlos will get his gold eventually.
He’s already the youngest olympic finalist in like over 100 years.
He’s got plenty ahead of him, but this one will hurt.
No shame in winning a medal for your country, hopefully doesn’t keep him too down.
Well worth the watch 7 minute watch.
I desperately need them facing off at the US Open.
