The NHL is filled right now with an overabundance of young, phenom talent.
The skill level in the league is off the charts.
They’re like a bunch of little wizards out there dunking on goalies.

This new era of the NHL is fun.
But it could also be deemed as “Instagram Hockey”.
There’s a reason why classics exist.
There is a reason why people are always going to want to eat a perfectly cooked medium-rare ribeye.
There is a reason why people are always going to want to drive around in a Mercedes-Benz 300SL.
Greatness that can withstand the test of time.
And that greatness, my friends, is the Breakaway Clap Bomb.
Dear god it’s beautiful.
Yet there’s also an elegance and beauty to its power.
No little forehand-backhand toe drag flip over the goalie’s shoulder.
That’s the key in of goal right there scored by a man’s man.
The pop in of goal that plays to our basic, natural instincts as human beings.
It makes the little caveman portion of our brain jump up and down with joy.
Which is the exact jot down of goal you could expect a guy like Scott Laughton to deliver.
It hasn’t been the most productive season for Scott Laughton so far.
Just 3 on the year heading into last night.
But this breakaway clap bomb in the 2nd period made it 1-0 Flyers.
Then 90 seconds into the 3rd period, Scott Laughton scored a shorthanded goal to make it 2-0 Flyers.
Then later in the night, Scott Laughton scored again to make it 3-1 Flyers.
And then finally, Scott Laughton delivered the final dagger to make it 4-1 Flyers.
4 goals for the Flyers last night.
All 4 of them scored by Scott Laughton.
He keeps that pace up and Ovi better watch his ass.
It’ll be Scott Laughton to break Wayne’s record first.
God this locker room rules.
This is as close as he’s gotten so far.
I’m not going to tell Mich(igan)kov how to do his thing out there.
They’re all going to get over and cover that blocker side corner.
So my suggestion would be to give a shot to tuck it right under that chicken wing.
