Can’t exactly say this is stunning news given the fact that Virginia was 102 years-old.
The matriarch of the Bears and the NFL has passed.
The last game Virginia ever saw was the Bears winning in Lambeau.
Glad she got to see that.
Terrible news for her family.
I am sure she was loved.
She had a million kids and grandchildren and it’s always important to remember the actual family grieving.
With that said this is huge news in Chicago for the NFL’s original franchise.
It did feel like there was a shift in decision making by the Bears during the last hiring process.
There has been much discussion and speculation about what would happen when this day finally came.
