Well….that fucking sucked, huh?
It’s been historical collapse after historical collapse.
Somehow having all the teams together in one location has caused them all to just blend into each other.
They’ve all become the exact same organization.
Full of hope and promise to start the season.
This Phillies loss might be the worst of them all.
Because this is the team that started the run in 2022.
The team that started to give this city an insane amount of hope.
Hope–it’s the most destructive drug on the planet.
They were scrappy, they were magical, they ran off of vibes and home runs.
Last year’s collapse was devastating, but maybe it was just a fluke.
They got ice cold at the absolute worst time, but surely it couldn’t happen again.
And then it happened again.
Because at this point, what’s the point?
Anyway, what a waste of a year.
What a waste of one of the best summers of baseball that we’ve ever had in Philly.
And that’s a shame because for so many months, they were one of the most exciting.
