The Mets finally figured out a way to stop the relentless Dodgers lineup. Just score a fuckton of runs and don’t strike out at all. This was not a particularly well played game. There really were a bunch of good moments. Pete Alonso golf balled a ball to dead center and somehow had 4 runs scored. Starling Marte went out had had 4 hits (including 3 doubles). So where does that leave the Mets and Dodgers for the rest of this series?...
Marty is a groomsman in a wedding. Ev is on the road at the CFB Show. So we had to bring in a big dog for the stream. Someone who lives and breathes Yankee baseball. I assumed there would be guests (or more specifically, a guest) on the streams all series. But that obvious chess move never came to fruition, so Ive just hung with the boys all series. But after seeing Tommys tweet, I got a little nervous. Marty had a wedding, and Big Ev had to fly to Bloomington for todays College Football Show. The atmosphere in Bloomington, Indiana was electric. One of the rowdiest football crowds to ever grace a football Saturday. People caring about the game and not just blacking out during the tailgate. Is Indiana a football school? Was today an apple picking day? I NEED the big dogs of the Big Ten. FEED me Michigan and Ohio State! Rework the schedule and throw in Oregon and Penn State. The Hoosiers are legit, and they are ready to prove it to the world....
I don’t know how that just happened. I feel like I just went through war. Another roller coaster, soul-dividing postseason grind of a game. Thank god for this author’s life it was a win. I don’t know if I could have survived another loss like that. I really don’t. It looked for a little bit that we were almost certainly headed that way. Let’s try and break it down. The Yankees did what they needed to do early and jumped out to an early lead....

Here’s one of the beauties of having a shit Thursday night game. You get to sit back, no sweat, and see what disaster happens. On Drew Brees night nonetheless! Anyways, back to the game. Coaches should be forced to retire on the spot if a kicker is able to make fun of you. That’s as low as it gets. Game was over the moment this happened. All I know is, there’s no way the Saints can keep Dennis Allen....
Annddd it took less than a week for the next Raiders trade rumor to start coming up. It’s not shocking, I guess. Everyone assumes the Raiders are in tank mode, rebuild mode, whatever you want to call it. Now we have Maxx Crosby saying this, he doesn’t want to rebuild, he wants to win. Sure, that’s all fine. That’s how every athlete should think and talk. I don’t think he is, especially not with this quote....
Ohhh London doesn’t want WrestleMania anymore?! After all that hoopla about how Mayor Sadiq Khan was bringing EVERYTHING to London?! We don’t want you either, London, you lot of absolute WANKERS!!! He is an absolute menace to society if this is completely unprovoked. The thing is I have seen the craziest shit come out about this guy. Case and point: How the hell do you defend this guy in court?! The only guy who seems to be backing him is the douche who filmed it. That wasn’t a in the moment “guy throws punch in response to escalating situation”. Imagine how many of these interactions happen every gameday that don’t get filmed?...
As someone who has blogged my fair share of posters, this is an interesting case. Everything about this poster attempt started off about as perfectly as you could want. When Miller jumped, he kept floating up, rising higher and higher to get over Turner’s contest. Meeting at the apex is another key element of a quality poster. Watch that zoomed-in video again and tell me what you think. I’ve just never really put throw-in dunks in the same category as a true poster....
It’s a slow Friday, I know. But, come on, this is a great reminder that college basketball is everywhere. This guy is Dan Hurley, probably. I mean back-to-back titles, offered the job at Kentucky? That’s exactly what happened in April. Hell, that’s all I did in April. Now he’s being portrayed in Law and Order. No idea which version of Law and Order this is, there’s roughly 540 of them....
