Horrible News: After 15 Years, Revolution Brewing Will Close It's Famous Logan Square Brewpub

FOX CHICAGO- Illinois' largest independent craft brewery will close one of its Chicago locations next month. Revolution Brewing announced Saturday that it will be closing its Logan Square brewpub on Dec. 14. The brewpub hosted weddings, fundraisers, and Oktoberfest celebrations, becoming a beloved neighborhood spot. Despite efforts to adapt, the brewpub has experienced a decline in business. Really sad news out of Logan Square. Point remains: Revolution makes a bunch of great beers and they’re going to keep making those beers....

I Will Never Stop Writing This Blog: College Basketball's Dumbest Decision Was The Moment They Stopped Giving Us The 24-Hour Opening Day Marathon

No, not a Kentucky blog, but rather the 24-hour marathon. We need it back in our lives. Because there’s NOTHING better than 24-hours of college basketball. You’re telling me you didn’t tune in to a Manhattan/Fairfield game at 9am? I call you a liar. I actually like that it’s late. You may be wondering what happened to the 24-hour Marathon that we all beg for? Well, in 2017 they decided to stop doing it because of all these other events we get....

Is It More Important For The Head Coach Of A Football Team To Have A Big Brain Or Big Balls? You Be The Judge

The Philadelphia Eagles narrowly avoided another catastrophic loss last night in which Nick Sirianni crucial points off the board. Some people make decisions with their brains, others just go with their nuts. Now here’s the thing–I will never discredit the significance of having a massive sack on you. I think having balls is an important aspect of the game. If you have that confidence in your guys to get the job done, then you roll with that....

Joe Flacco vs. Anthony Richardson Is Tearing Colts Nation Apart

As far as NFL fan bases go, Colts fans are about as tame and measured as they come. Most Colts fans really haven’t had much to be mad about in their lifetimes. At least in comparison to a lot of the other dreadful organizations in the NFL. Since Peyton Manning was drafted in 1998, there’s never not been hope. They’ve almost always been competitive. They’ve never had back to back losing seasons....

Kings Stay Kings: Joe Lunardi Put Out His 68-Team NCAA Tournament Bracket Before 1 Single Game Was Played, Pisses Off Every Fanbase

Is Joe Lunardi the best bracketologist out there? But there’s nobody and I mean nobody who is more associated with bracketology than Joe Lunardi. So you know what? This is what he’s going to do. A complete 68-team seed list, first four out, next out, all that stuff. Joe Lunardi doesn’t give a shit that 0 games were played when he hit send. He crunched the numbers, came up with who would be first four out and hit send....

Knee Jerk Reactions to Week 9: Patriots vs. Titans

Things to consider while getting the “We’re No. The Spark Notes version of a Knee Jerk Reaction, because my heart’s not in a long one. I came close to not doing it at all. My EIC told me to take as much time off as I need. The thing is, the last time I wasn’t able to post a KJR was 2008. (Time is a flat circle.) Had a few too many....

LISTEN: Researchers Have Somehow Discovered The Sound Of The Earth's Magnetic Field Reversing 42,000 Years Ago And It Is Creepy As Hell

Welcome to the cutting edge of geomagnetic research, where science meets art in the most unexpected way. The star of this cosmic concert? This is one of the creepiest things I’ve seen or heard in a while. They say it’s supposed to be a “rewarding exercise in bringing art and science together.” I don’t know about you, but I’m getting some serious Blair Witch Project vibes. It’s like listening to the Earth scream in agony as its magnetic field goes bonkers....

Martha Stewart's Documentary Proves That She's The Original Bad Bitch, And She Doesn't Care What You Think About Her

Matt Eberflus Passed Marty Mornhinweg In One Of The Saddest Coaching Stats Ever

I found the perfect coaching comp to Matt Eberflus. It’s a coach so bad I’m pretty sure most Lions fans forgot all about him. Good ole Marty Mornhinweg of the Lions from 2001 all the way to 2002. 0-16 on the road on Sunday was Marty. This is simply stunning. Maybe 0-16 wasn’t even that bad all things considered. But look at what this pile of pud has in Chicago....

Microsoft Went Down 3 Points After Mike McCarthy Smashed The Shit Out Of This Tablet During The Cowboys Loss

Those were the good ol' days. You think Jerry Jones has an extra $300 to spare? He just handed out $400 million in contracts to Dak Prescott and CeeDee Lamb a couple months ago. They’ll probably also get a fine by the league for upsetting an advertiser. Not great for the budget! Good news for Microsoft is that everyone always just assumes those are iPads on the sideline anyway. But maybe keep Mike McCarthy away from technology for a little while just to be safe....

OPINION: The Chicago Bears Need To Stop Playing Afternoon Games Because They Suck

This is somewhat of a personal blog so just don’t get offended if you disagree. That’s not my intention with this opinion. The Bears play most of their games at 12pm central on Sundays. There’s obvious exceptions: SNF, MNF, TNF, Thanksgiving vs. the Lions. Those you could bank on. Would my opinion be different if the Bears didn’t suck against decent coaching? But I’m living in the real world where hypotheticals are mere distractions from practicality....
