For the second straight season, the Thunder have begun their playoff journey with a first round sweep. Just ask the Grizzlies about that. And while getting swept is always tough, I do respect the Grizzlies for at least going down swinging. The Thunder definitely had to earn this sweep between the comeback the other day and today’s win. Just as they have all season. For OKC, their playoffs don’t truly start yet....

I’m not sure about anyone else, but I find myself to still be extremely annoyed. Sweeps in the NBA are hard, it’s what makes them so unique. Here’s the thing about that though. Both can be true, I think. For me, it’sthe waythe Celts lost this game that annoys me more than the result. In a position to effectively end the series, the Celts went for their kill shot. In that sense, they failed....

Something you think that’s a sure thing never actually is. Devin Williams seems hellbent on derailing that plan. We’re still in the month of April and Williams has surrendered 10 earned runs already. He gave up 10 HITS all together in 2024. In four of his ten outings he’s given up an earned run. He’s only had two appearances where he didn’t allow a baserunner. In his last four innings, which includes 21 batters faced, he’s only struck out one batter....

I’ve been going relatively light, for me, on the Patriots coverage this draft season. Two guys who can block for Drake May, and two guys who can catch Drake Maye passes. That’s our version of a balanced approach this draft, and I’m here for it. –In the case of TreVeyon Henderson, they got a guy who can blockandcatch. I’ll settle for that. –As far as Kyle Williams, I want to be excited....
Mel Kiper is going to have to be institutionalized after this draft. He can’t believe what he’s seeing. And he’s, as the kids say, absolutely crashing out. Kiper is losing his marbles right in front of our eyes. Because that’s all we’re hearing, he had the worst interviews ever. Matthew Berry actually reported that last month: What in the world happened in there???? And then there’s the Deion effect. Teams don’t want a helicopter parent overshadowing the team....
Mel Kiper is legitimately hilarious. Did he have a billion dollar future on Shedeur? All of night one he ranted and raved about Shedeur falling. All of Day 2 he preached like a southern pastor about Shedeur. I have never seen anything like it. And what’s hilarious is people are saying “Mel Kiper will never recover from this. Mel Kiper MUST retire”. Uhhhh, first time? Mel Kiper is clearly a legend....
